FAQ
Launch is designed as a flexible, multi-attraction family entertainment platform rather than a single-activity concept. Our parks offer a customizable attraction mix that allows franchisees to tailor the experience to their market while maintaining broad customer appeal across age groups. At the same time, Launch remains intentionally family-focused, emphasizing safety, quality execution, and experiences that drive repeat visits, parties, and group events. This balance of flexibility and focus allows Launch Parks to compete effectively in diverse markets while maintaining a consistent brand experience.
Qualified franchisee candidates should be well-capitalized, experienced business leaders who are prepared to develop and operate a high-volume, multi-revenue entertainment business. This includes access to sufficient liquid capital to support the development of one or more Launch Parks, as well as prior experience in leadership, operations, or business ownership. Ideal candidates demonstrate sound financial judgment, an understanding of local market dynamics, and the ability to navigate real estate, labor, and regulatory requirements. Equally important is alignment with the Launch brand, culture, and commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience. For additional details, please visit our Ideal Franchise Partner section.
The approval process typically takes 60 to 90 days, depending on the availability of information, scheduling of Discovery Day and park visits, and the pace of candidate due diligence. Our process is designed to be thorough but efficient, ensuring both parties have the clarity and alignment needed before moving forward. For additional details, please visit Our Process section.
While it is not required to live within the territory you are developing, our most successful franchisees are typically active in their local market and engaged with the community. Launch supports both owner-operator and semi-absentee ownership models. Franchisees who do not reside in their territory must designate a qualified general managing partner who is responsible for day-to-day leadership, operations, and community involvement to ensure consistent execution and brand standards.
Yes. Launch offers both single-park and multi-unit development opportunities. Multi-unit development agreements are awarded to well-capitalized franchisees who demonstrate the financial capacity, operational leadership, and organizational infrastructure required to support future growth. Approved multi-unit franchisees must commit to and adhere to a defined development schedule and area to ensure timely execution and market coverage.
Franchise owners are required to pay an initial franchise fee of $75,000 per location. This fee is payable upon signing the Franchise Agreement. In certain states, franchise fee payment requirements may differ and, where permitted by law, payment may be deferred until the park opens. Specific timing and state-specific requirements are outlined in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Launch franchisees pay a 6% royalty fee and a 2% brand marketing fee, each calculated as a percentage of Gross Sales, as disclosed in Item 6 of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The royalty fee supports the continued use of the Launch brand, system standards, and ongoing operational support. The brand marketing fee is used to fund system-wide marketing, brand development, and approved promotional initiatives as described in Item 11. Full details regarding fee calculation and administration are outlined in the FDD.
The estimated initial investment for a Launch Family Entertainment franchise generally ranges from approximately $3,517,213 to $6,501,900, as outlined in Item 7 of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). The total investment will vary based on several factors, including the size of the facility, the mix of attractions selected, build-out requirements, and whether the park includes bowling, a full-service Krave restaurant, and a bar. Additional variables and assumptions impacting the investment are detailed in the FDD.
Launch Park facilities typically range from approximately 25,000 to 35,000 square feet, depending on the selected attraction mix and market requirements. Most Launch locations operate in leased real estate, which allows for flexibility and efficient market entry. However, if a franchisee already owns an existing facility or is interested in acquiring real estate, ownership may be permitted subject to Launch’s review and approval to ensure the site meets brand, operational, and financial standards.
Launch Parks perform best in well-defined trade areas with strong population density, household formation, and family demographics. Ideal markets typically include a trade area population of approximately 200,000 or more, a high concentration of households with average incomes of $75,000 or greater, and approximately 20,000 children under the age of 14. Successful locations are generally positioned near established retail hubs and benefit from co-tenancy with national retailers and high-traffic generators such as Target, TJ Maxx, Ross, and similar brands. These market characteristics support consistent traffic, repeat visitation, and long-term demand for the Launch experience.
Franchise laws and regulations do not permit us to provide specific earnings projections or guarantees. The financial performance of a Launch Park will vary based on a number of factors, including market selection, site characteristics, traffic patterns, local marketing execution, operating costs, and the effectiveness of management and operations. During the evaluation process, we will provide our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which includes financial disclosures designed to help you understand the business model. We also encourage prospective franchisees to speak directly with existing Launch franchise owners to gain additional perspective on operating the business.
Launch does not provide direct financing. However, we maintain relationships with SBA and conventional lenders who are familiar with the Launch brand and our development model. When appropriate, we will make introductions to lenders experienced in financing Launch Parks to help franchisees navigate the funding process.
Once approved and after the Franchise Agreement is signed, the timeline to open a Launch Family Entertainment park typically ranges from 15 to 18 months. Launch will guide you through the entire development process, from site identification and lease negotiation through design, construction, and opening. As a general estimate, site identification, LOI, and lease negotiation may take up to approximately 180 days, followed by a design and construction phase of approximately 275 to 365 days. These timelines are estimates only and may vary based on factors such as site availability, build-out complexity, permitting and inspections, landlord requirements, and local governmental approvals.
Launch provides hands-on support across real estate, design, and construction to help franchisees execute the development process with discipline and confidence. As a Launch franchisee, you will have access to our dedicated real estate broker and commercial real estate attorney to support site selection, market evaluation, LOI strategy, and lease negotiation. From a design and construction standpoint, we connect franchisees with an experienced project manager who helps coordinate the full process, including site evaluation and inspections, architectural coordination, permitting support, bid leveling, general contractor selection, and construction oversight through opening. Our design and construction team also maintains a vetted network of approved vendors and attraction partners to ensure your park is equipped with proven, current offerings and installed to Launch standards. While franchisees remain actively engaged throughout development, Launch provides a structured, step-by-step roadmap and consistent guidance to keep the process moving.
Launch provides comprehensive support and training designed to guide franchisees through every phase of ownership, from development to ongoing operations. This includes structured training programs, real estate and financing guidance, design and construction support, and access to marketing and communications resources. Franchisees also benefit from Launch’s network of preferred and vetted vendors supporting attractions, food and beverages, merchandise, and other revenue channels. Our goal is to equip franchise owners with the systems, tools, and support needed to operate efficiently, execute consistently, and build a successful Launch Park.
